Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for building projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with codes. You will establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings, taking electrical lead on projects and mentoring staff.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and PE license, with extensive experience in power, lighting, and life-safety systems for buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis is required.
• A PE license recognized by the licensing board for the position location is required (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design and production meetings for electrical systems.
• Assume the electrical lead on many projects and direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals.
