Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with current building electrical systems design experience in an MEP/AEC setting. You will design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and standby systems, and prepare calculations, diagrams, and specs for coordination with architecture and MEP disciplines.

The role offers project leadership, mentorship, and opportunities to advance toward PE licensure within a collaborative, established consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred.
• Current electrical building systems design experience within an MEP consulting engineering, architectural engineering, or AEC environment required.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and other building electrical systems.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will also be considered.
• Experience with software platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, equipment sizing, and related analyses.
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and electrical equipment specs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines.
