Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Property & Buildings team in Dallas, TX, with potential Austin option. You will design electrical systems for commercial, corporate, healthcare, higher education and civic facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of electrical building systems design experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience with NEC, energy codes, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design for new construction, renovation, and tenant improvements.
• Prepare construction documents including power, lighting, fire alarm, telecom and low-voltage systems.
• Develop load calculations, equipment sizing, panel schedules, short circuit studies and voltage drop.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to create and coordinate drawings and models.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Support site visits, field investigations, and construction administration tasks.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, specs, and project documentation.
• Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
