Job summary

ISS Facilities Services in Weymouth is seeking an Electrical Engineer to ensure safe, reliable building systems via PPM, reactive work and on-call support. The role emphasizes high technical standards, stakeholder communication and adherence to safety procedures, with a focus on proactive service delivery.

Required qualifications include City & Guilds AVP pathways and 18th Edition compliance, with AP status and a full UK driving licence highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Ideally from a facilities management background with experience of completing both PPM and reactive maintenance works.
  • Previous experience of Authorised Person AP status would be advantageous.
  • Must be fully electrically qualified and able to provide certification prior to offer.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in the on-call rota, including flexibility to cover sickness and planned holidays.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

  • Test, inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure compliance, safety and performance standards are met.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues, providing technical support and proactive communication.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records, including work reports, asset updates and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements and COSHH procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, maintenance processes and service delivery.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional building services maintenance and supporting the consistent delivery of high-quality facilities services across client properties.

Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, you will help ensure the safety, reliability and performance of critical building systems through expert maintenance, fault finding and repair activities.

City & Guilds 236/2360 in Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.

City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), preferably including the A2 Amendment.

Additional Information

Participation in the on-call rota is required (1 week in every 4 under normal operations).

A company van is provided for call-out duties.
