Job summary

MOHR Talent partners with a growing building systems design firm hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support building design projects across education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets. This role emphasizes producing electrical drawings and hands-on work with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, and construction documents, with hybrid flexibility.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of electrical design experience and strong AutoCAD drafting;

• 3+ years of electrical design experience preferred.
• Experience with building electrical systems in MEP/architectural projects.
• Strong hands-on AutoCAD drafting/design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction.
• Create drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop one-lines, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, and specs.
• Design fire alarm, low voltage, communications, security, and access control systems.
• Perform site visits, field investigations, and existing condition reviews.
• Support short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural teams, and clients.
• Review submittals and support construction administration.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and technical priorities.

Electrical Engineer
Mobile, AL|$90,000-$110,000+ Base Depending on Experience

We’re partnering with a growing building systems design firm that is hiring a hands‑on Electrical Engineer to support building design projects across education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who personally produces electrical drawings and enjoys being hands‑on with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, one‑lines, and construction documents.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction


• Personally create drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit


• Develop one-lines, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, and specifications


• Design fire alarm, low voltage, communications, security, and access control systems


• Perform site visits, field investigations, and existing condition reviews


• Support short‑circuit, coordination, and arc‑flash studies

What They’re Looking For
