Job summary

MOHR Talent is partnering with a growing building systems design firm in Baton Rouge to hire an Electrical Engineer who will personally produce drawings and work hands-on with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, one-lines, and construction documents for education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets.

This role designs electrical systems from concept through construction, creates AutoCAD and Revit drawings, develops one-lines and panel schedules,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical design experience.
• Building electrical systems experience in MEP/architectural engineering or building design.
• Revit MEP experience is a plus.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction.
• Personally create drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Develop one-lines, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, and specifications.
• Design fire alarm, low voltage, communications, security, and access control systems.
• Perform site visits, field investigations, and existing condition reviews.
• Support short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural teams, and clients.
• Review submittals and support construction administration.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and technical priorities.

We're partnering with a growing building systems design firm that is hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support building design projects across education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who personally produces electrical drawings and enjoys being hands-on with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, one-lines, and construction documents.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction
