Job summary

OpenArc, LLC. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to robot design, fabrication, assembly, and testing, applying solid electrical engineering principles. This role drives innovation across multiple industries to deliver ground-breaking results.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with circuit design, PCB layout, MCU firmware (Atmel, STM32), and NEC/UL processes. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and help source components while documenting analysis and test

Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proven track record of developing electrical circuits and electrical systems.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with UL certification processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).
  • Python/Bash scripting, Matlab, C, C++ usage.
  • MCU firmware development with Atmel and STM32.
  • FPGA development experience (FPGA exposure).

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and test relevant circuits and sensors.
  • Find new sensors and ICs for implementing designs.
  • Perform PCB design, schematic and layout.
  • Prototype and rework PCBs.
  • Source and procure electronic components and lab supplies.
  • Participate in hardware design reviews and testing.
  • Light fabrication of prototype parts for robots.
  • Assemble and test mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Document analysis, design and test results.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to determine solutions.
