Job summary

Think Circuits is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Robotics to join our Oakland/San Francisco area team. You will design and coordinate hardware and software platforms, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance complex robotics projects from prototype to production.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 2 years of industry experience, and hands-on PCB design with Altium, KiCad, EAGLE, or OrCAD, plus firmware development and robotics experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of industry experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficient PCB design using Altium, KiCAD, EAGLE, or OrCAD.
• Firmware development and PCB bring-up experience.
• Experience collaborating with vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

• PCB Schematic capture and layout for client and in-house projects.
• Design and validation of robotic electrical systems.
• Design of manufacturing test fixtures and firmware.
• Guidance of product through manufacturing.
• BOM management, sourcing of parts from suppliers.
• Ownership of electrical systems as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• PCB Schematic capture and layout for our clients and in-house projects

Qualifications

• 2 year industry experience in electrical engineering role
• Proficient in PCB design and manufacturing using tools such as Altium, KiCAD, EAGLE, OrCAD
• Experience with firmware development and PCB bring-up
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively to colleagues
• Ability to work with external stakeholders such as vendors and clients
• Previous robotics or autonomous systems experience
• Previous experience with one or more: High power systems, sensitive sensor interfaces, high-speed differential signal layout
• Experience with AI enhanced workflows using tools like Claude

This is an on-site position, requiring in-person presence at our office in Oakland, CA and/or client site in San Francisco, CA.May require occasional travel to client deployment sites.
