Job summary

Solutions AEC LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 3–10 years of vertical building design experience to join our design/build team. You will create innovative electrical systems, perform on-site assessments, and produce detailed drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.

You will collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to deliver cohesive projects, coordinate submittals, and support bid estimation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (P.E. licensure a plus).
• 3–10 years in vertical building design with expertise in MEP systems.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Power Tools calculation software; strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Experience in Facility Power, Lighting, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Security Systems design.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and layouts for top-tier projects.
• Conduct on-site assessments, document conditions, ensure installations meet standards.
• Produce precise construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Leverage Revit/AutoCAD; propose design-process enhancements.
• Coordinate contractor and equipment submittals for project execution.
• Assist with bid estimation and equipment sourcing to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, structural teams, and contractors.
• Own project scheduling and ensure timely delivery with attention to detail.
• Engage in periodic site visits and client meetings; travel as needed.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (P.E. licensure a plus).
• Experience: 3-10 years in vertical building design, with expertise in MEP systems.
• Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Power Tools calculation software. Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Expertise: Experience in Facility Power, Lighting, Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Security Systems design. Broad knowledge across all project phases, from bidding to completion, is a plus.
• Bonus: Familiarity with LEED documentation, design/build projects, or commissioning processes.
