Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks an experienced Electrical EIT to design sophisticated electrical systems for a diverse project portfolio in Plano, TX. You will deliver low- and high-voltage designs, power distribution, energy storage, lighting, and fire alarm systems across mission critical facilities, labs, healthcare, and more.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure quality documentation from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training certification required or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering design and documentation software.
• Broad understanding of electrical engineering principles and cross-disciplinary awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs that meet project objectives, codes, and standards.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and well-coordinated construction documentation.
• Plan and manage project workloads to timelines and budgets.
• Perform electrical load studies, system analysis, and calculations.
• Size and specify equipment and develop system applications.
• Coordinate design solutions with architectural teams and other disciplines.
• Maintain organized project files and technical documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
