Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to support EPC power generation projects. You will lead a design team, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with construction to deliver safe, cost-effective electrical raceway systems.

Responsibilities include designing cable tray, grounding and lighting systems, sizing conduits per NEC, routing cables in 3D, developing 3D models, and coordinating with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Power generation experience preferred.
• Experience in grounding systems.
• Experience utilizing NEC requirements.
• Must be able to conceptualize in 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team for electrical raceway systems from concept to completion.
• Design cable tray, grounding and lighting systems.
• Perform NEC sizing calculations for conduits and cable tray.
• Route electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule.
• Develop 3D models using drawings and sketches.
• Check 3D models for interferences and constructability.
• Participate in project meetings as required.
