Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop and coordinate power systems for hyperscale data center projects. You will run load lists, one-lines, and equipment layouts, using AutoCAD and Revit to integrate with other disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll own end-to-end design packages, support permitting and interconnections, and collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers on IFC delivery. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical design on industrial, utility, power generation, energy storage, data center, or heavy commercial facilities.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills with depth across projects.
• Able to read and coordinate within Revit models for multi-discipline clash detection.
• Experience taking design from concept through IFC and owning drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Produce the electrical design package for data center and power generation sites (diagrams, layouts, schedules).
• Coordinate designs against the Revit federated model in 3D to avoid clashes.
• Develop medium-voltage distribution designs from utility to switchgear and substation interconnections.
• Maintain AutoCAD drawing sets to Giga standards (title blocks, layers, xrefs).
• Support permitting, utility interconnections, and review responses (RFIs).
• Assist procurement with BOMs, equipment schedules, and technical inputs.
