Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own electrical system design from concept to construction. You will collaborate with clients and project teams across markets, shaping projects and mentoring junior staff.

The role emphasizes leadership potential, design excellence, and a strong client-facing presence. The position requires a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of MEP design experience, with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing MEP building systems.
• Strong experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and NEC/NFPA codes.
• Ability to independently produce complete electrical design packages including plans, one-lines, and panel schedules.
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical building systems from concept through construction administration.
• Develop lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and detailed design packages using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, panel scheduling, and system coordination.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and facility assessments.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs while supporting construction teams.
