Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our environmental engineering team. You will design and develop complex electrical systems with Revit and AutoCAD, including wiring diagrams and layouts, while mentoring less experienced staff and ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

• An associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, electrical drafting, or related field or equivalent experience is required.
• Significant experience in electrical or instrumentation and control design using AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, and BIM.
• Field data gathering on electrical installations to support design development.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks related to electrical drawing development.
• Perform cable tray and conduit design.
• Assist with the layout of electrical equipment.
• Carry out lighting, devices, and circuit design.
• Develop competence in using Revit / AutoCAD.
• Actively engage in cross discipline model coordination.
• Understand the level of detail required at various project design gates/milestones.
• Manage schedules related to electrical equipment and panels.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
