Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for diverse projects, from commercial offices to industrial facilities. You will guide the design through construction, balancing budget constraints, design factors, and client needs, coordinating with project managers and teams.

The role requires strong communication, proficiency with CAD tools, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Primary location in Raleigh, NC with travel and duties across listed locations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required with minimum 3 years experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient with CAD tools and office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of projects from concept through design completion.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients and other disciplines.
• Manage project schedule, scope, budget and staffing; control change orders.
• QA/QC and coordination with field personnel; site inspections and testing.
