Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design on airports, commercial, and government facilities. You will contribute from concept through design completion, coordinating with project teams and clients.

You will apply ANSI/IEEE standards, CAD/BIM tools, and field data to deliver compliant, efficient systems while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality across drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree and 7+ years electrical engineering/consulting experience; PE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, ANSI/IEEE standards, and CAD/BIM methods.
• Experience with DoD or DoE entities and ability to lead large-project designs and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept to design completion for diverse projects.
• Review production drawings and CAD/BIM outputs with team for accuracy.
• Perform field inspections and provide non-standard design solutions on complex projects.
