Energy Jobline ZR in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, from customer requirements to production release. This hands-on role blends 70% office-based design work with 30% panel shop and testing support.

The position requires strong knowledge of three-phase power distribution, protection schemes, and compliance with UL 891, NEC and IEEE C37 standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of three-phase power distribution systems.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage switchgear design and protection.
• Familiarity with NEC/UL and IEEE C37 standards.
• Ability to develop and review wiring diagrams, single/three-line diagrams.
• Experience with BOMs and manufacturing liaison.
• Troubleshooting electrical equipment in production and testing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead electrical design and development of switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Create and review electrical documentation (diagrams, wiring, interconnection drawings).
• Specify major components (circuit breakers, transformers, metering).
• Ensure designs meet UL/NRTL, NEC, IEEE standards.
• Coordinate interfaces with PLC/control systems and other external systems.
• Provide technical leadership during design reviews and customer discussions.
• Support manufacturing during production, FAT, and field service.
