Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking engineers to develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles and apply new technologies to meet business targets. The role requires reliability in documentation, cost targeting, and cross‑functional collaboration.

You will lead project discussions, manage schedules, and support product development with a strong emphasis on quality and CAE knowledge. Working conditions involve travel and a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Engineering Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years engineering experience preferably in Powersports or Automotive field.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to interact/communicate effectively with staff/management.
• Must be able to operate with high level of confidentiality.
• Competent in FTA, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups and application.
• Competent analytical, problem solving, judgement, decision-making and prioritization.
• Competent drawing and layout skills/techniques, include understanding of CAE principles.
• Competent in creating a plan and schedule.
• Competent in understand product development schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using CAD software that achieve concept targets and manufacturing requirements.
• Establish or contribute to cost targets and optimize part designs to meet targets.
• Create and manage work schedules, coordinate resources, and lead project meetings and development events.
• Generate high-level ideas and contribute to strategies for new technologies as they mature.
• Support market quality themes and analyze root causes; develop and apply C/M specs as needed.
