Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing in Ohio seeks an experienced engineering leader for a Powersports design function. You will guide specifications, supervise execution, and ensure delivery of high-quality results across multiple projects.

You will mentor teams, improve design processes, and collaborate with management, suppliers, and global affiliates. A Bachelor's in Engineering, 8+ years in Powersports/Automotive, and 2+ years of supervisory experience are required. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 8+ years related work experience, preferably Powersports or Automotive.
• 2+ years supervisory/project leadership in a similar organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct and approve engineering output by reviewing designs and docs.
• Lead problem solving for development and mass production issues.
• Lead design team across multiple concurrent projects.
• Balance workload and resources to meet schedules.
• Coach and mentor to develop team capability and output quality.
• Drive cross-functional communication and alignment with management.
• Represent function in discussions with suppliers and affiliates.
• Grow capability through knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Improve design processes, tools, and methods for efficiency.
• Lead hiring and performance evaluation; support workforce planning.
