Job summary

Bradycorp’s Pittsburgh office in Cranberry, PA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for Engraving Solutions. You will design electrical and panel layouts for Brady Custom Solutions engraving machines, create schematics, build prototypes, and validate products through testing.

This on-site role collaborates with mechanical and software teams, develops BOMs, and uses AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell PLCs; travel to customer sites (~10%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Lead the end-to-end electrical design process for customized marking systems and panels.
• Select, evaluate and specify critical electrical components for performance and cost.
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop, test and implement automation programs using Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate electrical with mechanical and software parts.
• Provide expert support during build, testing and commissioning; travel ~10% to sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end electrical design for customized marking systems; develop schematic and panel layouts.
• Specify components (breakers, relays, sensors, power supplies) for performance and cost.
• Create, update BOMs and technical docs through product lifecycle.
• Develop and validate automation for systems using PLCs.
• Coordinate with mechanical/software teams for system integration.
• Support site builds, testing and start-ups; travel as needed (~10%).
