Job summary

Brady Corporation in Pittsburgh is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for its Engraving Solutions business. This role involves the design and implementation of electrical layouts for engraving machines, utilizing expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and various electrical components.

The successful candidate will support the product development lifecycle from design to testing and will be required to collaborate with a team to ensure project specifications are met. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, a 401(k) match, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 79, UL508a.
• Read and create electrical schematics using NFPA and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for customized marking systems.
• Select and specify critical electrical components for system optimization.
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials and technical documentation.

Skills

AutoCAD Electrical proficiency

Attention to detail

Problem-solving skills

Knowledge of NEC and UL508a

Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
