Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (Design) in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex. The role focuses on mission engineering support to close Change Requests for CNS-compliant electrical systems returned to service.

Responsibilities include CR review, document revision, redline preparation, and verification that changes are properly incorporated into Affected Documents. DOE/NRC-regulated context preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Familiarity with CNS and consensus national standards (NFPA 70/ NEC, ASME).
• Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment desirable.
• Understanding of Conduct of Engineering and Conduct of Operations in a nuclear regulated environment desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with production and support organizations.

Responsibilities

• Review Change Requests (CRs) for RTS systems >90 days not closed.
• Identify Affected Documents to revise per CR work.
• Perform walkdowns to verify CR work completion.
• Review and compare information on Affected Documents to CR work.
• Prepare redline markups of Affected Documents to reflect CR work.
• Provide redlined copies to drafting for CM document updates.
• Verify Affected Documents reflect CR information correctly.
