Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks an Electrical Engineer (Design) in Oak Ridge, TN to support mission engineering for facility and production area changes at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and familiarity with CNS/NFPA 70/NEC and ASME standards. DOE/NRC environment experience and strong communication are valued assets. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Familiarity with CNS and consensus national standards (NFPA 70/ NEC, ASME).
• Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment desirable.
• Understanding of Conduct of Engineering and Conduct of Operations in nuclear environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to interface effectively with production and support organizations.

Responsibilities

• Review Change Requests (CRs) for RTS >90 days awaiting closure.
• Identify affected documents needing revision per CR work.
• Perform walkdowns to verify CR work completion.
• Review and compare document data to CR work.
• Prepare redline markups reflecting CR work.
• Provide redlined documents to drafting for incorporation into Parent CM.
• Verify Affected Documents reflect CR information accurately.
