Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an Electrical/Engineering role for a multi-disciplinary team in Dallas. You will work under a licensed engineer to design lighting, power, data and fire alarm systems for educational, healthcare, corporate, and science projects.

The role involves preparing design documentation, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting coordination. ABET-accredited degree and EIT/FE are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree by hire date.
EIT/FE certification preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Design lighting, power distribution, communication systems and/or telecommunications systems, and fire alarm systems under supervision.
Prepare technical design documentation under supervision.
Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
Produce quality drawings following red lines and verbal instructions.
Recommend ways to improve process, quality, and coordination efforts.
Apply basic understanding of National Electrical Code, chapters 2 and 3.
May visit job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Perform other duties as assigned.
