Job summary

CannonDesign in Dallas seeks a student intern to join our multi-disciplinary team, working under a licensed engineer on projects across Commercial, Education, Health, S&T and Sports & Rec markets. Based on business needs, this role could evolve into a full-time entry-level position for students who meet qualifications.

You will contribute to electrical design of lighting, power distribution and communication systems, prepare documents from concept through advanced technical design,

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with engineering design software (Revit MEP, SKM Power Tools) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of lighting, power distribution and communication systems including fire alarm systems.
• Prepare documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation.
• Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
• May visit job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
