Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to architect and refine electrical systems for embedded computing hardware, sensing, and power. You will define architectures, lead design around a mobile SOC, and integrate cameras with imaging electronics.

Responsibilities include DFM for mass production, creating validation plans, and solving reliability and performance issues through development to production. FAA 107 readiness encouraged.

Qualifications

• Shipping high-volume consumer electronics in a senior/architect role.
• Experience with connected products (WiFi, cellular).
• EMI/RF troubleshooting experience.
• Familiar with Python or C scripting.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture and select components for a complex embedded electro-mechanical and optical system.
• Lead detailed design of main logic, interconnect, power, RF and sensing systems around a mobile SOC.
• Integrate cameras and imaging electronics.
• Incorporate DFM and manufacturing considerations for mass production.
• Create and carry out a validation plan for the system electronics.
• Address reliability, yield, and performance issues through development and into production.
