Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a mechanical engineer to design parts and assemblies for aircraft, ground stations, and key accessories. You will work across new architectures with a focus on reliability and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate PCBAs, flex circuits, antennas, and cable harnesses, and interface with vendors to drive activities with operations and supply chain teams. FAA certs encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of product development experience with proven execution.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong CAD skills and experience with complex assemblies.
• Ability to design for diverse manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for aircraft, ground stations, and accessories.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate PCBAs, flex circuits, antennas, and cables.
• Interface with vendors and support manufacturing with processes and quality criteria.
• Define and execute tests and analyze trade-offs to prove designs.
• Drive designs from prototyping to mass production.
