ARCO, a family of construction companies, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers, in Downers Grove, IL. You will develop electrical designs, coordinate with project partners, and provide technical support through procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Approximately 3–8 years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical, data center, industrial, utility, or high-reliability facilities.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems and emergency power systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and perform technical studies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; ETAP/SKM/EasyPower or similar tools preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and review electrical designs for medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment schedules, load summaries, feeder schedules, and design narratives.
• Support utility services, substations, transformers, switchgear, gensets, UPS, ATS, distribution equipment, grounding, and emergency power systems.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, protective-device coordination, arcflash, voltage-drop studies and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, controls, fire protection, civil, and construction teams.
• Participate in BIM coordination, design reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary page turns.
• Review vendor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, equipment data for compliance and constructability.
• Collaborate on long-lead electrical equipment, supplier coordination; provide field engineering support.
