Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineer to define requirements and interfaces for avionics ground and test equipment, and to manage make/buy trades for system components. You will design test equipment using COTS and custom parts, and support end-to-end integration and validation across hardware, software, and harnessing.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electrical design, systems engineering, and HIL testing, with data protocols experience and a hands-on problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
• 2+ years performing electrical design, systems engineering, electronics integration, system validation and verification, networking, scripting, or test equipment design.
• Experience working with data communication protocols.
• Experience designing signal conditioning and analog-to-digital solutions for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test equipment.
• Demonstrated ability building trusting and effective working relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and digital skills.
• Demonstrated track record of resourcefulness and success with interdisciplinary teams.
• Passion for hands-on problem solving and avionics integration.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, architectures, and interfaces for avionics ground and test equipment.

• Identify anomalous behavior, determine root cause, and implement corrective action.
• Validate and verify avionics ground and test systems against customer expectations and requirements.
• Triage remotely networked systems.
• Work across the systems engineering V, from requirements definition through integration, test, qualification, and verification.
• Travel up to 25% to rocket engine test sites.

• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
• Ability to pass Blue’s Standard Background Check
