Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Graduate Engineer to join our Renewables division in Minnetonka, MN.

You will support construction document production for solar, wind, and energy storage projects while coordinating with civil, geotechnical, and survey teams. You will use AutoCAD to produce drawings, sizing, and schedules, while adhering to Westwood CAD standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or technical certificate in Electrical Design, Solar Design, Architectural/Engineering Drafting, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in drafting/design of electrical power/distribution systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with Windows/Office.
• Knowledge of NEC/NESC and basic electrical design concepts.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
• Self-motivated with ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction document production support for commercial and utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Coordinate with design team disciplines including civil, geotechnical, and surveyors.
• Use AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs (site layouts, wire/cable routing, details, schedules).
• Create wiring/cable schedules based on input from senior designers/engineers.
• Maintain awareness of Westwood CAD standards.
