Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Graduate Engineer to join the Renewables Division. The role focuses on supporting construction document production for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying AutoCAD CAD standards.

Ideal candidates bring an associate degree in Electrical Design (or related) and 2–5 years of drafting experience. Strong communication, self-motivation, and a collaborative work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or NESC.
• Experience with basic electrical design concepts.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in Electrical Design or related field.
• 2–5 years of drafting/design in electrical power/distribution.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Windows/MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a team player with a good work ethic.
• Self-motivated with ability to balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support construction document production for solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and survey design disciplines.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Create wiring/cable schedules from takeoffs and input from senior designers/engineers.
• Maintain awareness of Westwood design/CAD standards.
