Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an Electrical Graduate Engineer to join our Renewables Division. You will help produce construction documents for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, and coordinate with multiple design disciplines.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, knowledge of NEC/NESC, and 2–5 years of drafting or electrical design experience. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential to success in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or NESC.
• Experience and knowledge of basic electrical design concepts.
• Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in Electrical Design or related field.
• 2–5 years of drafting/design experience for electrical power/distribution.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Windows/Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team player.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction documents for solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and survey design disciplines.
• Use AutoCAD to create documents and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Create wiring/cable schedules from input and sizing data.
• Maintain awareness of Westwood CAD standards.
