Job summary

The City of Georgetown, TX is seeking an Electric Crew Leader to supervise and work alongside a crew in installing, maintaining, and repairing electric distribution systems. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer communication as crews perform energized and de-energized tasks from poles, bucket trucks, and trenches.

Incumbents must be able to supervise field operations, mentor apprentices, and manage required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a documented apprentice lineman training program approved by the city.
• Ten (10) years in utility distribution systems, five (5) of the ten (10) years as a journeyman lineman.
• Has completed or will complete OSHA 10 training.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and leads crews in completion of assigned work orders and projects.
• Directs and performs daily line construction and maintenance for overhead and underground installations.
• Communicates with customers to explain purpose of activities that impact service.
• Completes and maintains paperwork, as-builts and all job information in a timely manner.
• Mentors Apprentices and develops crew skills and safety practices.
