Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of full-time related experience as an electrical journeyman lineman or approved training.
• Certification from the Department of Labor as a Journeyman Lineman or equivalent.
• Completion of 8000 hours of training and 4 years on-the-job training if not DoL certified.

Responsibilities

• Investigates disturbances, outages and power quality issues and restores overhead/underground distribution.
• Troubleshoots outages and communicates with customers during events.
• Climbs poles, works from bucket trucks and handles energized lines safely.
• Maintains equipment, conducts tailboard meetings, and supports other linemen.
