Job summary

Loeb Electric in Ohio is seeking a Counter Sales Specialist to deliver exceptional in-person and phone customer service at our branch stores. You will apply product knowledge to help customers select electrical and lighting solutions, process orders, and support promotions while maintaining store standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of retail sales experience and familiarity with electrical products, with strong math, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years retail/customer sales experience.
• Experience working with electrical and/or lighting products.
• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers in person or over the phone during the sales process.
• Processes sales transactions and orders at the counter and by phone.
• Demonstrates product knowledge and promotions.
• Suggests replacement/alternative products when appropriate.
• Follows up on credit issues, held merchandise, and transfers to complete orders.
• Maintains knowledge of the full sales process from entry to payment processing."
• Completes special orders and stock requests as needed.
• Processes product returns with proper documentation and returns to correct location.
• Maintains clean shelves, restocks, and accurate labeling.
• Builds strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
