Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in Laredo, TX is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to join our team. You will determine customer merchandise needs, use Eclipse for pricing and order entry, and prepare sales tickets while providing excellent service.

As part of the Sonepar group, you will handle deliveries, resolve issues, and promote branch promotions in a fast-paced environment with daily interactions with contractors and customers.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to perform math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest and commissions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical or general business publications.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Basic electrical product knowledge.
• Six months or more of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of merchandise by becoming familiar with products and catalogs.
• Uses Eclipse program for pricing and order entry.
• Prepares cash or charge sales tickets with required ID and processing information.
• Estimates delivery dates based on schedule.
• Picks and loads customer materials as needed.
• Resolves customer and coworker issues with diplomacy and seeks management assistance when needed.
• Addresses order problems and complaints promptly.
• Describes and demonstrates products using samples or catalogs.
• Sells and promotes promotions as directed.
