Job summary

Capital Electric in Durham, NC is seeking a Counter Sales associate to help customers select products, process orders, and build relationships with contractors. You’ll greet walk-in customers, assist with product selection, and ensure accurate sales tickets.

The role requires high school diploma, sales or electrical knowledge preferred, strong math and communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred but training is provided.
• Electrical knowledge is a plus for product selection.
• Good math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and basic MS Office skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls and greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with product selection and order accuracy.
• Prepare and process customer sales tickets.
• Pull orders from the warehouse and bring to the counter.
• Promote and sell promotions and discount programs.
• Support other warehouse functions as needed.
• Work toward monthly sales and gross margin goals.
• Maintain courteous and professional customer service.
• Multitask and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Follow company policies and operate safely.
