Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems at a large bakery site in Swedesboro, NJ. The role includes leading root-cause analyses and training Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.

On-site position with 1st and 2nd shifts available; GMP and safety standards are emphasized. Strong schematics and PLC experience required for reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
