Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ is hiring a Controls Technician for a large bakery. You will maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation and process control systems on high-speed production lines, with on-site work in Pennsville, NJ and weekend availability as production needs dictate.

You will provide technical leadership, oversee maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks and documentation, and ensure GMP, safety and regulatory standards are met while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming software.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
