Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is hiring a Controls Technician for a large bakery facility in Swedesboro/ Pitman, NJ. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing plant-wide electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed production lines.

You will troubleshoot, perform root-cause analyses, train Electro-Mechanics, and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance across PLCs, drives, networks, and documentation. GMP and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology is preferred.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
