Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, program, commissioning, and support electrical control systems for automated industrial equipment and manufacturing processes in Indianapolis.

The ideal candidate has hands-on PLC programming and HMI development experience, with a four-year engineering degree and 3+ years in electrical engineering, coordinating electrical and automation components from concept through startup.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Recent hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience with integrated systems design, including coordinating electrical, controls, and automation components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, commission, and support electrical control systems for automated equipment.
• Coordinate electrical, controls, and automation components across projects.
• Support startups and commissioning in manufacturing environments.
• Apply knowledge of security electronics and related hardware when relevant.
