Job summary

Hunter Recruiting is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to support mill production, program Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, and specify electrical equipment. The role involves coordinating with maintenance and leading controls for capital projects, with collaboration across manufacturing, process engineering, operations, and contractors.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, PLC programming experience, and strong schematic interpretation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
4+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer or related preferred.
Programming experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred.
Electrical troubleshooting experience is required.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical/controls engineering support to maintain mill production.
Troubleshoot, edit, and program PLCs (Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, and ControlLogix) and HMIs.
Specify electrical equipment including motors, starters, VFDs, cables, and distribution equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance on troubleshooting and modifications.
Lead electrical and controls support for capital projects.
