Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer at Arnold Air Force Base, TN, to lead design and integration of motion and process control systems for complex test operations.

The role involves power distribution, low-voltage infrastructure, and closed-loop control across motors, pneumatics, and test cells, with a focus on reliability, safety, and mission-critical performance. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Mechatronics from an accredited college or university.
• Prior intern or co-op experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop ID&C system requirements, sketches, specifications, and material estimates using CAD/CAE tools.
• Deploy and monitor ID&C systems during aerospace ground test operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain ID&C systems throughout lifecycle.
• Design and maintain automated control and HMI software.
• Design, develop, and execute System Verification and Validation plans.
