Job summary

Loxo in Grayslake, IL seeks an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to lead design of electrical power and control systems for industrial equipment. The role requires 8+ years of electrical engineering experience and hands-on schematic development, with proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Excel, and Acrobat.

Ideal candidates will design systems in accordance with NEC/UL standards and customer specs, and contribute to creating BOMs and detailed documentation for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in industrial equipment or machinery.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Office suite, and Acrobat required.

Job description

An outstanding, full-time opportunity is available in the Grayslake, IL area for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer with 8-15 years of electrical engineering experience and a strong background in industrial electrical power and control system design. This position offers a competitive base salary (up to $125k) and a comprehensive benefits package including medical benefits, 401K with matching, Short/Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, PTO and other outstanding benefits.

All candidates MUST have the following experience to qualify for consideration:

• At least 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with hands-on experience designing electrical power and control systems for industrial equipment or machinery is REQUIRED.
• Strong technical proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office/Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is REQUIRED.
• Experience developing electrical schematics/diagrams, Bill of Materials (BOMs), control-panel/cabinet layouts, and technical documentation is highly PREFERRED.
• Experience designing systems in accordance with applicable National Electrical Code (NEC), UL standards, and customer specifications is highly PREFERRED .
• Experience with relay-based control systems , electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and industrial control systems is highly preferred .
• Experience with industrial ovens, furnaces, thermal processing equipment, or other complex industrial machinery is a strong PLUS .
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is Required.
