Job summary

Constellation Search Group is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer for a full-time permanent position in Maple Grove, MN. The role involves designing industrial control panels, wiring plans, and ladder logic schematics, plus setting up and testing telecom devices and power generators.

You will collaborate with sales staff and other engineers to meet electrical and safety standards, document procedures, and develop PLC programs using AutoCAD LT and Eplan.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years electrical or related experience; 5 years preferred in industrial control design.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and engineering.
• Familiar with sensors and signal types (e.g., 4-20mA).
• Proficient with design concepts, procedures, and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comply with UL508A, NFPA70, & IEC standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD LT and MS Office; Eplan preferred.
• Ladder logic software experience such as Cscape (Horner PLCs) is optional.
• Proficient in English reading, writing, speaking.

Additionally, the position requires collaboration with sales staff and other engineers to address client needs and ensure products meet electrical and safety standards.
