Job summary

E Tech Group in West Chester, OH is seeking a Lead Engineer to lead design and implementation of integrated electrical and control systems for client projects. You will collaborate with engineering, design, production, and field service staff to deliver robust automation solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the control system industry, strong PLC/HMI programming skills (AB Studio 5000, AVEVA/Ignition), and a proven track record in project delivery and commissioning.

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to be responsible for technical leadership and/or development of customer ordered solutions. Responsibilities include implementation, testing and startup of technical solutions created by yourself or others. To be successful, you must be an effective collaborator with customers and other associates to deliver the best solution and be willing and able to take direction from project management leaders. This position will require frequent updates to management and customers for work status updates.

This role is based out of West Chester, OH. Remote workers with experience accepted. Travel to project locations as required.

You will:

• Design and implementation of integrated electrical and control systems
• Work cooperatively with engineering, design, production, and field service staff

• Specify and configure various hardware components such as, instrumentation, PLCs, communication systems and industrial control panels

You have:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Strong understanding of controls systems.
• Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs within one or more languages (AB/Studio 5000, AVEVA/Ignition)
• Experience with industrial process automation, including process control systems, instrumentation, and equipment integration
• Strong Field Experience with conveyance systems, sortation logic, material handling, product tracking, merge, etc.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

You may have:

• Experience developing and commissioning batch control systems, including batch sequencing, recipes and related PLC/HMI Programming
• Familiarity with Siemens/Schneider systems a plus.
• Instrumentation calibration / startup experience.
