Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Transmission Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based transmission line and substation crews. The role ensures safety compliance, enforces company policies, and coordinates with customers and contractors to meet project goals.

The position involves input into project planning, supervising crews, and managing budgets and timelines. Overnight travel may be required; compensation ranges reflect responsibilities and industry standards for Ameren’s transmission

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in electric transmission or electric distribution required, OR five+ years in heavy industrial or military environment with at least three years in a supervisor role.
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred.
• Utility experience preferred.
• Supervisory or team/contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor crews in construction, maintenance and inspection of electric system facilities.
• Provide input to project planning, design, and scheduling with contracts and agreements.
• Enforce safety rules (WPA, LOTO) and conduct safety observations with crews.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, stakeholders, and other departments.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resource needs to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Document scope changes and provide project updates as required.
