Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our construction team. You will be mentored by a Lead Project Manager, gaining hands-on experience supervising projects from bid through closeout on sites in the Pacific Northwest.

The role emphasizes developing strong scheduling, cost control, and contract administration skills while coordinating with estimators, superintendents, and safety professionals to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• 5-year electrical apprenticeship or construction engineering management degree.
• 2–3 years' experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager role.
• Willingness to supervise and manage on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand contract scope and change orders.
• Prepare and conduct pre-job meetings and agendas.
• Develop and monitor manpower schedules and project costs.
• Review budgets and bid closings with estimators.
• Oversee submittals, RFI logs, and project closeout documents.
• Coordinate large purchase orders and subcontract management.
