Job summary

SteerBridge in Huntington, WV, is seeking a Construction Manager – Electrical Engineer (CM-EE) to provide specialized electrical engineering and construction management support for VA medical facilities and related projects. This onsite, full-time position requires leadership to minimize patient disruption while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the CM-EE will review documentation, manage schedules, assess risks, and ensure compliance with federal and VA

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required and Public Trust clearance eligibility.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum six years of experience in electrical design and construction.
• Ability to understand local, state, and federal requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with MS Office and CM software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner’s representative for electrical engineering on construction projects.
• Provide construction management during planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Review plans, specs, RFIs, change requests, schedules, and cost proposals for compliance.
• Evaluate field conditions and electrical systems, identify risks, and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with VA staff, architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with VA requirements and patient-safety considerations.
