Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support its National Technical Systems Group with high-level coordination across construction project management and field staff. You will help manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes, ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role involves assisting with supervision, scheduling, change orders, drawing reviews, and billing, while collaborating with field supervisors and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating construction project documentation (submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with change orders and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating project docs including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Assist supervision and directing project activities as assigned by PM/PX.
• Maintain change order, submittal and document control logs in Viewpoint.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to secure necessary owner and manual documentation.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under PM/PX guidance.

• Assistwithmanagingall aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
• AssistwithsupervisionanddirectingprojectactivitiesasassignedbythePMincludingplanning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
• Assistwiththemaintenanceofallchangeorder,submittalanddocumentcontrollogswithinViewpoint.
• AssistPMandPXwithinteractionswithsubcontractorstomakecertainthatwe have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• ResponsibleforcreatingtheJobInformationSheetsandestablishingjobfiles under the direction of the PM or PX.
• AssumetemporarytotalprojectsupervisionresponsibilitiesintheabsenceofthePM.
• Abletoreadandbasicunderstandingofelectricaldrawingsandspecifications.
• Assistwithestablishingworkflowbreakdownsinconjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Assistwithensuringprojectbillingsareaccurateandsubmittedtimely, monthly, and per contract documents.
• ResponsibleforassistinginwritingandsubmissionofqualityRFIs.
